Back Together at Girvan Harbour with Brand New Café, Soft Play & Outdoor Terrace & Deck

Since re-opening in January with our Swimming Pool and brand-new Gym facilities the centre has been buzzing with excitement at bringing our leisure services back together under one roof.

We want to thank everyone who has supported us during this period - it has been great to see all the familiar faces and some new ones!

We look forward to welcoming more of you through our doors as we continue to promote and develop services and open our brand new extension on the 14th October.

Facing out towards Ailsa Craig, the new extension features a brand-new, completely re-designed 4-level soft play area for your young explorers, plus an improved cafe to enjoy a relaxing breakfast, brunch or lunch. These exciting additions will sit within an extended cafe area, covering two levels, complete with an outdoor terrace and an upper deck - offering stunning views.

Gym Inductions

Members and Pay-As-You-Go customers will be able to access the gym once they have completed an induction. This induction is essential to ensure everyone is familiar with the new equipment, safety protocols and guidelines.

New Members & Pay-As-You-Go clients please build in an additional 45 minutes for induction in addition to your planned workout time when coming in for your initial gym session.

Make waves in our modern pool which is light and airy with a full glass fronted end allowing great views out towards Girvan beach and Ailsa Craig.

TQZ boasts great pool accessibility via its ‘Poolpod’ developed for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games and used in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games.

It allows and facilitates all ages and abilities to safely enter and exit the pool – allowing everyone to join in.

The lower café area runs along one side enabling spectators to watch all the fun and games without getting wet!

Now the technical bit
Our pool is 25 metres long and 4 lanes wide. The shallow end which is entered by sloping steps with a handrail immediately when exiting the changing village is 0.9metres deep and gradually deepens to a maximum of 1.8metres at the end nearest the windows facing out to sea.

A family style changing village with individual, family and disabled changing cubicles is located at the top end of the pool with hairdryers, costume drier, hot showers, lockers etc.

Keeping you Safe!

Children under the age of two must be accompanied by a responsible person (16+) on a one to one basis.

Children aged between two and seven must be accompanied by a responsible person (16+) with a maximum of two children on a two to one basis.

Children aged eight and over do not need adult supervision but must be able to;

1. Swim 25 metres without stopping or putting your feet on the floor.
2. Jump in and submerge your head under the water.
3. Keep your head above the water for 30 seconds and attract attention, swim to the side, and hold onto the side for safety.
4. Float on front and back for 5 seconds on each.

Giant Inflatable Safety - adults & children

Both adults and children must be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool unaided to participate in any of our Giant Inflatable sessions.

Please note: for children under 8 the adult/child ratios above must also be followed.
